News
Did you know?
This one almost passed by without us noticing - with Jazz himself turning 30 this year - but it turns out, that this month is the 25th anniversary of JDC itself!
The first season ran from December 11, 1999 to March 3, 2000, and was organized by Syntax, Bobby aka Dizzy, and Onag(?). People have been dueling before Putin became president!
We even have the very first JDC awards, right here:
It is interesting how those award titles have not changed ever since...
The very first event was held on December 18, 1999 - almost exactly 25 years ago. I'll be holding a small spontaneous event in this honor, tonight.
How long have you been involved with JDC? Let me know on the comments below!

I can announce that we are planning to run a Season 34 in the winter, although it will be much shorter than Season 33, which was something of a marathon over the previous summer. Please stay tuned for further announcements!
Endless(?) Summer
Bad news:
All good things have to end, even JDC.
Good news:
This season will end later than we thought it would! I suddenly realised that I won't be home on Sunday evening to host the closing event, and postponing it seemed like the best choice. The new ending date is September 8 (next Sunday).
This way everybody gets one more week of JDC! Our second JDCE is now certain to finish within the season, and there's going to be even more events to come.
Are there any levels or gamemodes we've missed this season, or ones you'd like to revisit? Let us know!

JDCE Champion + JDCE 2 starts!
Congratulations to Kev, the champion of JDCE for Season 33! It was a very well deserved victory, and also well done to him for denying me my Obama medal as organiser!
If you're interested you can watch the JDCE final match from my POV here.
Due to the success of the first JDCE this season, I am happy to announce that we will be running a second JDCE tournament this season!
Sign ups are now open - to sign up, please respond to this post by saying "In". Sign ups will close on Sunday 4th August at 23:59 CEST. Mappool and other details to follow shortly
Happy duelling!
EDIT: Deadline for signups is now Sunday 11th August at 23:59 CEST.
Or until we have 16 players signed up, whichever comes first.
ODT updates
The One Day Tournament from Wednesday has now been (finally) reassigned to next Tuesday. It will be followed by PJ's regular tournament next Thursday.
Is there a difference between the two I hear you ask? - PJ's tournaments are the "main" ones of the season, the ones marked with ½ (I intend to run more than one) are kind of "junior" tournaments, that will run for a shorter time and will be slightly more experimental.
Tuesday's ODT #2½ in particular will be single elimination, and will have no betting - I have an alternate idea for idlers this time.
Thursday's ODT #3 will (probably) be a return to regular programming.
As for what happens on Wednesday after that? Time will tell!
Happy Sunday.
