This one almost passed by without us noticing - with Jazz himself turning 30 this year - but it turns out, that this month is the 25th anniversary of JDC itself!
The first season ran from December 11, 1999 to March 3, 2000, and was organized by Syntax, Bobby aka Dizzy, and Onag(?). People have been dueling before Putin became president!
We even have the very first JDC awards, right here:
It is interesting how those award titles have not changed ever since...
The very first event was held on December 18, 1999 - almost exactly 25 years ago. I'll be holding a small spontaneous event in this honor, tonight.

Myself, I'd started with JDC 9, in 2004. However I barely played, and was a lot more active in the next season.
JDC 8, 2003 Summer iirc. ThunderXD won both JDC 8 & 9.

My first season was JDC 13 which took place in the summer of 2007. I believe it was won by Vegito who was at the peak of his JJ2 dominance at the time.
